As business owners we are at a critical point in our businesses. We’ve completed the month of January and we must take a good look at the goals we set for the year… especially our income goals.

 If you stayed on track and met your goals then let me be the first to say, “Congratulations”! Great job.

If on the other hand if you didn’t meet your goals now is a really good time to figure out what went wrong. The reason I say ‘now’ is a really good time is because you’re only one month into the year. There is still time to turn it around and get back on track.

If you know anything about me, (or even if you don’t), I’m a firm believer in goals that have meaning and purpose. As a business owner there are 3 types of business goals you should be setting each month.

Monthly Goal #1: The number you will increase your email subscriber list by each month.

This is a really important goal because you need to keep your eye on the prize. Building a solid email list is the gold in your business. The subscribers on your list are warm leads that want to know what you have to offer that will help them solve their pain points.

Monthly Goal #2: The amount of sales you will make in the month.

Having a predetermined financial goal for the month gives you something to strive for. I’m a firm believer that this number must be realistic based on the size of your email list and your past history. Keep it real, but at the same time make sure it pushes you out of your comfort zone.

Monthly Goal #3: The new content you will create that will build your authority as well as make you money.

Whether you are creating a new blog post, free offer, program, product or service you need to continue to establish yourself as an authority within your niche. Staying current and on top of trending topics is the quickest way to attract new leads and turn them into your newest paying clients.
