Why the Perfect Free Offer is Key to Your List-Building Strategy
By Karen Pattock
It’s 3:00 in the morning and here I am again brainstorming the next free offer I can create to support my followers in building their businesses online. It happens all of the time. I wake up out of a sound sleep and an idea hits me out of the blue. I become so excited thinking about online marketing and list building that I can’t fall back to sleep. Does this ever happen to you?
The one thing I know to be true above all others, to be successful in building a business, is that you must consistently attract new leads into your sales funnel with a highly targeted free offer. The way to earn more revenue is by growing your email list at a steady pace.
The best and most advantageous way to grow your list is by offering something of value, (for free), that solves the pain point of your ideal client. Give someone a solution to a problem they’ve been experiencing and you’ll quickly convert them into a loyal fan and follower.
Let me ask you a question, “Are you making list building a top priority in your business this year?”
I’m not talking about once a month or even once a week. I mean every single day you are marketing your free offer in the places where your ideal clients are hanging out. You have goals set for each week, month and even the year and you work hard to meet those list building goals.
Truth is, most people that I ask that question to respond with a, “No”.
So here’s the deal… the success formula is simple.
Free Offer That Solves Pain Point + Grow Your List
= More Clients & More Revenue
The first thing you need to do before creating a free offer is get really clear on the pain points your ideal clients are experiencing. What’s keeping them up at night? What language do they use to describe their pain? Take good notes because that’s going to come in handy when you design your free offer.
The next thing you need to decide is what format your free offer should be in to be most effective? Should it be a short guide, video, audio, checklist, etc.? Part of that equation is what format you are most comfortable delivering content in. For example… I love doing videos for my audience, however, not everyone feels that way about video. You have to decide where you’re most at home and start from that point.
The last component you must keep in mind is the volume of information that you share. Often I see entrepreneurs working hard to over-deliver in their free offers. They stuff so much information into their giveaway that the only thing that happens is the recipient is too overwhelmed to take action.
Here’s the key to a really good free offer.
Pick one pain point that you can provide a solution to that gets a result in a short period of time. By doing just that you will establish yourself as an expert and leave your new lead wanting to know more about what you have to offer. It’s a win-win situation.
Remember it’s your job to go where your ideal clients are hanging out to promote your free offer. No more waiting for your ideal client to find you. This new perspective truly puts you in the driver’s seat of your success.
Let’s do this together.
Recently I designed a template for my clients that outlines exactly how to create the perfect free offer in 1-hour or less. It’s a 4-step outline that can be incorporated into any format. I invite you to download the template by clicking here: Signature Promotional Giveaway Success Template.
Together we can Make A Difference in the world.
If you’re clear on who your ideal client is, what their pain points are and what solution you provide than you can design the perfect free offer that will quickly grow your list and increase your revenue.
